How do I request a household help?

You fill out the application form online with your desired frequency, available dates and your information. We will contact you to coordinate everything.
Yes, L&S is a certified service voucher company, the most economical and secure way to use a cleaning helper. View service check options here .
Service vouchers are valid for 12 months. If you have vouchers that you cannot use before their expiry date, you can request a refund free of charge via My Citizen Profile or via Pluxee (formerly Sodexo) using a paper form, provided that your vouchers have not yet expired.
For this, you pay the price of the service voucher (€10 in Flanders) + €1,25 in administrative costs. Check your situation with our price calculator.
As of Jan. 1, 2025, service checks will no longer entitle you to a tax break. Only vouchers purchased in 2024 will remain eligible for the tax reduction. For more info, see the site of Dienstencheques Vlaanderen.
Keep floors and surfaces clear as much as possible so we can clean up smoothly. Please notify pets or special situations in advance.
For most families, four hours per week is sufficient to clean the house. However, if you have a large house or expect other tasks to be done, it is better to request more hours so that your domestic help can perform all tasks to your satisfaction. If you have a small flat, the cleaner will probably be able to clean everything in three hours.

If you maintain your home yourself in between, you can also opt for a clean every two weeks.
Provide good cleaning equipment, the right products and clean cloths and mops. Our home helpers are not allowed to work with corrosive or aggressive products such as vinegar, bleach, ammonia, etc. We are happy to guide you in making the right choices so that our employees can work safely.

Yes, we have the compulsory insurance policies for occupational accidents and civil liability for damage occurring during work in accordance with the applicable conditions.
Cleaning, window cleaning, washing and ironing, making beds, shopping for daily use and simple cooking tasks are permitted.

Examples of tasks that are not permitted: washing ceilings, childcare, garden maintenance, washing cars, animal care, cleaning professional spaces such as offices, waiting rooms and practices, communal areas such as stairwells in apartment buildings, etc.

How often can I request a cleaning service? (once, weekly, monthly)?

Anything is possible: one-off, biweekly, monthly or fixed weekly maintenance visits. Given that our home helpers have a fixed work schedule, we recommend weekly or biweekly help so that you can always expect the same cleaning assistant. Request your non-binding proposal here
Yes, such as windows, deep cleaning of kitchen/bathroom or extra rooms. We agree in advance what fits within the time frame. Request your non-binding proposal here
Yes, your domestic help is entitled to a 5-minute break every 2 hours. For a 4-hour shift, this amounts to a total break of 10 minutes.
No, that’s not necessary. Many clients give a key or code lock. Everything is done in confidence and by arrangement.
If desired, we will arrange for a replacement at a time that suits you. You will always be informed in good time. If the cleaning does not take place, you will not be charged.
If you notify us of this in time, we will make sure that your cleaning help’s schedule is adjusted.
No problem. Just let us know so your cleaning helper can take this into account. Some cleaning tasks may require some extra time.

The service will be cancelled and will not be postponed. Please contact us if you would like a replacement.
The administrative customer contribution is invoiced every two months. You will receive the invoice by post or, preferably, by email.
Via My Citizen Profile, you can see how many cheques are still available, as well as which cleaning services have been paid for and which have not.
You must confirm the services via My Citizen Profile. It is possible that the hours worked were not recorded by your cleaner but by an office employee. In this case, your confirmation as a customer is required before payment can proceed.
