Cleaning a floor can sometimes cause a lot of doubts. After all, a wrong way of cleaning can cause permanent stains or scratches. The most important thing is to have a good idea of what type of floor you want to clean. If you are sure about this, then it is relatively easy. After all, there is a suitable cleaning product for every floor.
In the following overview, we limit ourselves to some useful cleaning tips for different types of floors made of wood, tile and plastic.
How to clean a parquet floor?
It is best to vacuum a parquet floor as often as possible. This is mainly to ensure that dirt cannot scratch it. Preferably mop weekly with a well-wrung (microfiber) cloth. Cleaning too wet can damage the parquet. Use a parquet cleaner or a pH neutral agent to avoid streaks or dull spots.
How to clean a laminate floor?
Again, regular vacuuming is very important to keep your laminate flooring beautiful. For mopping, you can use water and a special laminate cleaner. This will give you a streak-free result. Be sure not to mop too wet.

How to clean a marble floor?
Regular sweeping or vacuuming is also part of this. Whereas with previous floor types it is sufficient to use lukewarm water, it is best to mop a marble floor with slightly warmer water. This way the dirt comes off faster. You can add some green soap but be careful not to use too much of it. Otherwise the marble will get a greasy coating. So use too little rather than too much…Marble cleaner is also perfectly suitable.
How to clean a plastic floor?
Vinyl, linoleum or PVC is easy to clean: vacuum and mop regularly with lukewarm to warm water and a neutral cleaning product. Give your floor an annual refresh with an appropriate maintenance product for optimal protection and shine.
Use probiotic cleaning products
Through our partner Clean Green, we offer a probiotic all-purpose cleaner which – after extensive testing – is suitablefor any type of floor. This product is diluted with water. For stubborn stains, however, you can also use this more or less “pure”. Put the product directly on a damp cloth and rub the stain thoroughly with it. You will see that the stain (as good as) disappears thanks to the action of the probiotics (read: good bacteria).
